Really Engaged Limited has launched to bring bespoke public relations, marketing and event management services to the higher and further educations sector. We also serve the research and innovation community and work with heritage and archive organisations to help share their treasures with the wider world.
We are a small team of communications and marketing professionals with many years’ experience in the higher education and research world. We understand the need for researchers to engage with their audiences and the need to demonstrate real impact. Hence Really Engaged!
Our aim is to make our skills in communications, marketing and event management available to the academic, research and heritage communities and to further enhance those capabilities by harnessing social media.
Our founder Directors are:
Ailie Ferrari – A former University Brand Strategist / Director of Marketing Communications at University of Glasgow and member of The Hunterian Strategic Development Board. Marketing Manager at Glasgow Caledonian University and Senior Marketing Business Partner for Glasgow School for Business & Society. In addition, Ailie has had twenty years’ experience delivering successful marketing strategies across Financial Services, Tech and Public Sector. Chartered Marketer and Vice Chair (Education) of CIM Scotland Region Board.
Phil Taylor, MCIPR – A former BBC news editor, Phil was Head of News and Current Affairs at BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Scotland Head of Newsgathering and BBC News’ Scotland Editor. While at Radio Scotland, the station was the first outside London to be awarded the Sony UK Station of the Year accolade. He was Head of Communications at Scottish Crop Research Institute and subsequently the James Hutton Institute followed by his appointment as the University of Glasgow’s first Internal Communications Manager. He has also worked as a Communications Consultant at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Really Engaged is also fortunate to work with Dan Marrable, and his 448 Studio social media company. Dan is a social and digital media consultant, speaker and trainer. He specialises in creating solutions for people and businesses who want to connect with their audience through social media. He’s won a CIPR Gold award for best use of social media along with HEIST and PRiDE awards for most effective use of social media.
Really Engaged is already working in the health innovation sector and is eager to talk to academics, researchers, archivists and heritage specialists who are looking to engage with new and bigger audiences to create wider engagement and maximum impact.
